Openwave Systems Inc., has reportedly entered into a joint collaboration with Digital Solutions Group “DSG,” an African outsource provider for total fixed-mobile convergence “FMC” solutions, and relationship marketing.
As part of the agreement, DSG will now be able to distribute Openwave products while also providing value-added professional services to operators in Africa and sub-Saharan markets.
According to officials with Openwave, the solutions will consist of Openwave’s context-aware mobile Internet mediation and mobile analytics offerings and advanced professional services from DSG.
“DSG consistently identifies innovative companies that have a proven track record of providing winning solutions for partners and customers,” said Yaron Assabi, CEO of Digital Solutions Group.
Assabi said that the company’s strength in providing professional value-added services, combined with Openwave’s mobile Internet mediation solutions provide a compelling combination that is expected to be unparalleled by competitive offerings.
“Operators in emerging markets are exploring innovative ways to deliver easy to deploy mobile internet services that can help them effectively compete in the open Internet,” said Alan Park, senior vice president of Worldwide Sales, Openwave.
